Software for the industries that actually get their hands dirty.

ReserveLogic Systems builds Ascend — a family of operations platforms for labour-heavy employers and community employment. One engineering core, two products, each shaped by the people who use it at 5am in a workshop, not in a boardroom.

What we do

We turn paper, WhatsApp and spreadsheets into systems of record.

Most operational businesses already have the data. It is on a clipboard in a bakkie, in a group chat, in someone's head. We build the software that captures it once, at the source, and turns it into something you can run the business on.

Capture at the source

Android apps that work with no signal and sync when they find it. Clock-ins, leave, overtime and intake interviews captured where the work happens.

Dashboards that mean something

Live rollups per site, per department, per shift. Metrics ingested straight off the capture forms, with alerting when a number crosses a line that matters.

Access control that survives audit

Permission-based roles built from a capability catalogue, multi-organisation tenancy, per-site and per-department scoping, and a full audit history.

Modules you switch on

Buy attendance without payroll, or payroll without billing. Licensing is per organisation and per site, so a two-site operation pays like a two-site operation.

How we work

Shipped, then improved. Not specified for a year.

Every Ascend product started as a real problem at a real site. We put something usable in front of the people doing the job early, then let their complaints set the roadmap.

1

Walk the floor

We spend time where the work happens and map what is really captured today — clipboards, group chats, memory.

2

Ship the thin slice

One module, in production, with real users. Working software beats a specification document every time.

3

Widen the seam

Modules switch on one at a time against the same core, so growth never means a second system to reconcile.

4

Hand over the keys

Your data, your reports, exportable. Setup pages are yours to run — you should not need us for a new site.

Built for South African conditions

Signal drops. Load-shedding happens. The work carries on.

Software written for a fibre connection and a desk falls over the first time it meets a rural site office. Ascend assumes the worst case and behaves well in it.

  • Offline-first capture. The Android apps queue everything locally and sync idempotently, so a retry never doubles a record.
  • Local compliance built in. Payroll periods, overtime rules and leave workflow follow South African practice, exporting Sage-ready.
  • Local payment rails. Payfast collection and per-employee billing, in rands, invoiced monthly.
  • Locally hosted and supported. Our own infrastructure, our own people, in our own time zone.
